| Sanur, Kuta and Legian Beaches | Kuta and Legian
In addition to having some of the best sunsets, Kuta is also the centre of night life activities in Southern Bali and a shopping mecca, with its lines of shops, boutiques, and galleries.
Kuta is among the first favorite beaches discovered by tourist. The beach is fenced by the airport’s runway, which gives you a breathtaking landing experience. Kuta beach stretches as far north as the eyes can see.
The beach is very short drive away from the airport, and transportation is readily available to take you from and to Kuta to and from anywhere else in Bali.
Nearly on the opposite side of Sanur, the beaches of Kuta and Legian stretch on the southwestern side of Bali, again only about 5 to 10 minute drive from Denpasar or the airport. The main activity in these beaches is surfing. Due to shops, Kecak dance performances, pubs, and other facilities Kuta became a tourist mecca.
Sanur
Located on the southeastern side of Bali, Sanur beach can be easily reached from Denpasar, about a 5 to 10 minute drive. It is an excellent place to watch the sun rises, as you jog along the white sandy beach. As one of the first resorts developed in Bali, Sanur holds to its traditions. In close proximity to the beach, ancient temples stand as solemn as they have been in centuries past. |
