Cotovelo is located in 21 km from Natal, Pirangi do Norte in  24 km and Pirangi do Sul in 25 km.

You may get there on the highway RN 063; which is best known as Rota do Sol, begins in Ponta Negra.

These 3 beaches are nearby Natal and each other. Locals prefer to spend time here during weekends and holidays.

There are a number of restaurants and pousadas; though, it’s better to spend the day here and then go back to Natal in the afternoon.

In Pirangi, you may observe the biggest cashew tree in the world (recorded in the Guiness Book), which has an area of 8,400 square meters; it's older 100 years, and you may taste the cashews between December and February. The branches of the tree are growing sideways; and when a branch contacts the ground, a new sprout (without roots) begins to grow.
