manabi-beachesManabí is located along the central part of Ecuador’s Pacific Coast, and famous for its marvelous beaches, quaint fishing villages, commercial centers such as Manta, country’s second largest port, and Machalilla National Park. Here you can get lots of incredible pottery and panama hats as this area is worldwide famous for its handicrafts. The climate here is dry- to humid- subtropical, and the average temperature is of 25 degrees. 2 domestic airports and an international cargo airport operate here.

The province boasts lots of gorgeous beaches, such as San Vicente, San Jacinto, San Clemente, Puerto Cayo, Puerto Rico, Puerto Lopez, Crucita, Canoa, Cojimíes, Pedernales, and Jaramijó, which are backed by fishing villages. All they extend over 300km along the shore of Manabí. Visited year-round, Manabí’s beach resorts cater tranquility and harmony as well as delicious, exceptionally coastal cuisine. The surrounding plant life is made up of mangroves, shrubs, and woods. Puerto López and Pedernales villages have turned into resorts with great hotel infrastructure and are regarded as departure points for tours to places like Machalilla National Park.

You may also set off for Machalilla National Park, where you can relish the unspoiled white beaches; its flourishing, endemic flora; or La Isla de la Plata, where you may encounter some of the Galapagos species. The Park is open all year round for both local and foreign visitors. The high season is from June through October that is the time when the whales come from the Antarctic to mate in the area. Here you may also observe remains of the Machalilla culture.

If you enjoy seafoods, the local cuisine is for you. Try out Ceviche, which is made of fish, shrimp, or shellfish, and it is one of Manabí’s most mouth delicious dishes.
