Fleming Beach Park is ideal for swimming when the ocean is tranquil but rip tides may develop when the surf rises. It is long, wide and sandy and enclosed by ironwood trees that cater wonderful shade. You should take care when swimming due to the steep slope of the beach that causes a backwash even during calm seas.
