Goa provides some of the greatest vacation villages on its beach stretches. Goa is mesmerizing, beginning from the landscape spotted with Portuguese style buildings to the way of life that radiates an alluring Old World charm. Anjuna or Calangute Beach, and Miramar Bay in Panjim are rather serene. Beach sellers vend all kinds of staff in Anjuna and Calangute. You can hire beach mats and mattresses, sunglasses, and the common tourist equipment. The sand at Calangute beach is rocky. At Anjuna beach the waters are calm and provide options for boat rides, sea scooter rides, dolphins watching, and motorboat tours. Colva and Benaulim are more serene and less crowded than Anjuna. Sinquerim and Candolim are also rather secluded beaches.
Goa's beaches are dotted with quaint small beach huts that offer ice cold beer and spicy Goan cuisine. You may easily find inexpensive lodging or hotel near the beach in Goa.
Goa has a steady climate through the year with only scanty changes in the temperature. If you decide to head for Goa in December-January, you may need some light woolens. April and May here are rather warm. Heavy rains last from June to October, almost up to 320 cm. The summer temperature varies from 24°C to 32.7°C and in winter - from 21.3°C to 32.2°C.
