Palolem beach is located in about 2 km west from Chaudi, Canacona District, South Goa. The main attractions here are Agonda and Chaudi. The best time to have here a vacation is from November to March. Palolem beach is also dubbed "Paradise Beach". It is a fishing beach famous for its dolphin cruises and fishing tours.
One may enjoy a tiny island in the middle of a fresh water stream in the north of the beach, which can be easily reached by swimming across at low tide.
For some time ago it was among the pristine beaches of Goa. But it couldn't escape the interest of the tourists. Though there were done some developments, the beach still offers a relaxing surroundings. A large area of Palolem beach is dotted with lots of small beach shacks, the number of which lessens as you move to the south.
If you want to stay at the Gaitonde's tent resort, which is one of the most popular accommodation places here, be sure to book it in advance. You may relax in a hammock and drink your cool beer while relishing the appetizing fresh caught by the fishermen.
There are also plenty of small resorts spread along the beach with bamboo sheds on stilts. Such accommodation is really spartan, but you can't expect more at $10 per day.
There are plenty of dining places over here at the beach. You won’t have any problems with getting food at this beach. There is also great number of bars here.
