If you go further south, you may get to the small fishing village of Shimoni. It is home to a number of deep mystifying coastal caves that are located along the sea and deep into the jungles. Over a long period of time they were used as a shelter for Dhow Sailors, Arab slavers and explorers. Shimoni is also a superb place for big game fishing in the waters of the Pemba Channel.
