| Flamenco | Flamenco is considered to be the most beautiful beach on the island of Culebra, and is located nine miles off the main island's eastern coast. This island city is a home for beaches so marvelous that they are almost impossible to believe.
The main charm is Flamenco Beach, lately rated as one of the Best Beaches in America and Best Escape Beach. A superb mile or so of untainted white coral sand is surrounded by Culebra's arid, sun-burned hills. The beach is protected as a Marine Wildlife Reserve by the Department of Natural and Environmental Resources. Here is the place where you can relish your vacation without crowds of tourists fussing around, jet skis and various sea vessels found on most of the central beaches on the main island of Puerto Rico.
Flamenco is only one of numerous unspoiled, unspoiled beaches on Culebra where you can relish peaceful seclusion as you swim in the turquoise waters or snorkel around some of the most spectacular coral formations in the Caribbean.
Tired of idyllic photos of the perfect beaches? Then you will find something interesting in the west area of Flamenco Beach, as there are lots of abandoned tanks and other military relics left after naval military exercises.
Lodging options on Culebra comprise a campground and numerous small guesthouses in the town of Dewey. You can hike to Flamenco Beach, get a public car (a público) from town, or rent a small boat. No matter how you will get there, you will find a paradise waiting for you.
