| Shacks | The long stretch of Atlantic shore from Arecibo in the northwest to Rincón, the city located at the westernmost island’s tip, where the Atlantic merges with the Caribbean, is the place where an incredible variety of beaches can be found. About in the middle between those 2 spots are the fantastic white sand dunes of Isabela.
One of the most liked and famous beaches there is Shacks. It is world-famous as one of the prime windsurfing destinations and is frequently compared with Maui, HI. Though it is renowned worldwide, Shacks has no crowds of visitors.
As trade winds here streams along at a steady 15 to 18 knots all through the winter months, Shacks offers a perfect location for windsurfing, wave jumping and kite surfing. The rest of the year you can spend wandering along the beach in search of the ideal seashell, or only relax in the warm, tropical sun. Most guests also usually stop at Jobos Beach, some miles down the road, where the snorkeling and SCUBA diving are superb.
